Student Visa requirements for study in Turkey
Student visas are issued to those who wish to study in the country. The student visa that is issued covers travelling to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. This visa is granted for students travelling to country for language courses, training courses as well fully fledged bachelors, master courses and doctorate programmes. The following documents are required for issuance of student visa.
•Passport with a validity of upto six months and enough space for visa. (To be seen and returned to the applicant until the approval of application.
•Copies of relevant pages of the passport (data and extension page)
•Duly filled and signed visa application forms.
•One passport sized photograph
•Admission and Acceptance letter from the Turkish University
•Payment receipt of school fees
•Confirm letter from the Institute on receipt of payment
•*If the purpose of travel is language study then certification of language course is required by the Turkish Ministry of education
•Guarantee letter from the Sponsor stating that the sponsor will bear the students entire expenses.
•Original personal bank statement for the last three months of sponsor / or the student with original approval from the bank manager
Students who study in countries other than Turkey are issued one month valid transit visa. Please note that visa applications must be made in person by the applicant. All necessary documents must be presented at the time of interview. Please note that documents sent by courier and mail will not be accepted. For first time travelers to Turkey their application is validated by the consular and the applications are forwarded to Turkish authorities for further examination. Application fee is collected in cash during the interview and is non refundable. The requirements put forward by the embassy are subject to change without notice. Students are therefore to be in touch with the Turkish Consulate in their respective home country.
