Students have to decide at which level they are seeking admission in this country. In some universities especially the top ranking five institutions there is a common admission test. If a student is able to clear this test then only they will be allowed to take admission in the university (exams are conducted specifically in studies of medicine).
The admission procedure for undergraduate, graduate post graduate and research based courses are different however the general requirement for the students are that should have passed from a recognized university in their respective home country. Apart from the country is also known for its various courses offered in medicine, engineering and business administration.
Hence the requirements for students wishing to apply for medical course is as follows •The candidate who has applied should have passed O level not more than three years from the date of admission. •Candidate should have completed A level in successive sessions •Top six subjects to be considered with minimum qualifying Grade `E’. Minimum total GPA (Grade Point Average) must be: 3.00. •Minimum three A Levels and must include Biology, Physics and Chemistry with minimum Grade `E’. Minimum GPA (grade Point Average) must be: 3.00. •Certificates must be attested by the competent authority that is the Foreign Ministry or the British Council of the respective country and also authenticated by the Bangladesh mission of that particular country. •The equivalence committee headed by The Director General of Health Services for MBBS/BDS courses verifies the certificates and issue equivalence certificate which is the only certificate acceptable throughout Bangladesh. The requirements for students wishing to apply for business mangement course is as follows •Candidates passed O level not more than 3 years back from the admission session. •Candidates completed A Levels within two successive sessions •Minimum five O Levels and must include Mathematics. Grade Point Average (GPA) is calculated by averaging the grade points of the best five grades. •Minimum two A Levels. Grade Point Average (GPA) is calculated by averaging the grade points of the best two grades. •Certificates must be attested by the competent authority that is the Foreign Ministry or the British Council of the respective country and also authenticated by the Bangladesh mission of that particular country. •The equivalence committee issue equivalence certificate which is the only certificate acceptable throughout Bangladesh. The requirement for students wishing to apply in Engineering Courses is as follows •Candidates have passed his/her O Levels •Candidates have completed his/her A Levels •Minimum five O Levels and must include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English with average grade of ‘B’. •Minimum three A Levels and must include Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum grade of ‘B’ in each subject. Mark Sheets/Certificates must be attested by the competent authority i.e. the British Council of the respective country. The Admission Committee verifies the certificates and issues equivalence certificate.
