Cost of Study in Sweden, Living Costs, Tuition Fees For Studying in Sweden:
Tuition and application fees:- Until now Sweden universities and institutes do not charge any tuition fees. Now, The Government like other European countries is going to allow the institutes to impose a fee structure at their own discretion. This will be for the entire course. The maximum a Masters program would cost SEK 100,000 per year. The other programs would charge much lesser.
The cost of living in Sweden will be approx. SEK 7,500 per month.
Scholarships are also available for students. The Swedish Institution disburses many of these to needful and competent students. Additional Swedish Universities also offer scholarships for students who are non EU and EU nationals.
In case of free paying students the university that accepts the candidate provides free insurance at the time of enrollment. Further more if the study program is more than a year the health benefits offered to Swede nationals are also applicable to international students.
In addition to fee and health insurance there living expense constitute a very important part of study. In this respect it is advisable that the student keeps aside a monthly burse of SEK 7300 or more for various expenses includes personal ones. There is also need to maintain a certain sum of money as this an important requirement for applying for residence permit.
