Welcome to Fairleigh Dickinson University’s new campus in beautiful downtown Vancouver. The University opened its fourth campus in September 2007 and, in just 16 short months, the campus has grown from 18 to nearly 75 students from more than 25 countries around the world (and is expected to grow to 200 students by the end of the calendar year 2009). Vancouver Cambie Street HALFFairleigh Dickinson University is the largest private (not-for-profit) university in the state of New Jersey (USA) with approximately 12,000 graduate and undergraduate students and more than 100 degree programs ranging from the Associate of Arts (A.A.) to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). The University was founded in 1942 and has four campuses. The University’s two main campuses are located in New Jersey – the Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck-Hackensack (just minutes from New York City) and The College at Florham in Florham Park-Madison; and its two remaining campuses are international in location – one in Wroxton, Oxfordshire, England (established in 1965) and the other (its newest campus) in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
The FDU-Vancouver campus offers accredited professional degree programs to international students with majors in business administration and information technology. Students majoring in business administration are required to complete a concentration in international business and may elect to complete a second concentration in entrepreneurship, finance, information technology, or marketing. Students majoring in information technology typically complete a minor in business administration. In addition, the FDU-Vancouver campus (as well as the University’s new location in Shanghai, China) offers a Pre-University Program which provides advanced English-language training for students who meet the University’s requirements for admission but require additional training in English (in speaking and/or writing) prior to matriculating in a degree program. The Vancouver campus boasts an excellent and dedicated core of full- and part-time faculty; a new, state-of-the art facility; small class sizes; close working relations between students, faculty and staff; and an intensive and unrivaled student support system focused on individual student success.
