Birmingham City University has eight campuses serving six faculties, and offers courses in art and design, the built environment, business, computing, English, healthcare, the performing arts, social sciences, and technology. In 2008, Birmingham City University saw the biggest rise in student applications of any UK university – a 35.6 per cent increase compared with a national average of eight per cent. And in 2009 they saw an even greater increase in applications of 36.9 per cent – the third highest growth of any UK university.
There will be new student accommodation, better access to social and welfare services and new and improved sports facilities. They have recently opened a new £8 million sports village with indoor sports halls and a multi-gym at our City North Campus.
