The Hashemite University was founded in 1992. It is named after the Jordanian royal family the Hashemites. Teaching at the university started on 16th September 1995 on a total area of 8519 acres. he Hashemite University is located in the vicinity of Zarqa on a strategic site parallel to the international highway that links Amman with Mafraq, at the crossroad that connects Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Iraq. Hashemite University offers courses undergraduate, graduate degree courses in Engineering, Sciences, Arts, Medicine, Allied Health Sciences, Nursing, Information Technology fields.
