Why Study in New Zealand?

New Zealand is famous for the great outdoors and epic landscapes but according to New Zealand’s Ministry of Education the three main cities of interest to international students are: Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

New Zealand’s education system is based on the British system, which makes it recognised in a number of countries so students can either progress to further education in New Zealand or other English speaking nations, or move to further study or employment back in their home countries easily.

If you are attracted to studying in New Zealand for the extreme sporting activities and beautiful scenery then one should choose an insitute in the rural areas. You will find that although the pace of life may be slower, most of the nature delights such as forests, waterfalls and mountains are located in these regions so there will be plenty of activities to keep you busy. Most of the country’s major cities are located on the coastline so if you had your heart set on an institution which is located miles away from your desired location you may be able to compromise as New Zealand is a small country with reliable and efficient travel networks.

Here there is a diverse range of cafes, restaurants, bars, and nightclubs, excellent sporting facilities, golf clubs, movie theatres and plenty of great shopping.  All kinds of recreational activities - a day at the beach, surfing, mountain biking, tennis, golf, surfing, fishing, ten-pin bowling and much more.
How about a day trip? – Try bungy jumping and hot pools at Hanmer Springs, tramping at Arthurs Pass, fishing for trout or salmon in one of the region’s many rivers and lakes or perhaps a trip to Akaroa to swim with the dolphins.

New Zealanders, or ‘kiwis’ as they are often known, are friendly, relaxed and open people and this is particularly apparent in the mainland. This country  is multicultural with many well-developed student support networks to help students from all over the world settle in.
